Cairo softball’s All-State battery of pitcher Olivia Cross and catcher Kylee Dodge enter their senior seasons this year under coach Jennifer Matthews.
Fellow All-Stater Mallori Hankins also returns for her senior campaign. The trio is in a group of seven returning starters from a Lady Cats team that went 24-5 and won a district championship last season.
Matthews is also excited about her group of newcomers.
She hopes the veterans can be a good example for the youngsters.
You can hear more from Matthews and other NEMO Pressbox softball coaches on our preview show Monday, August 25th at 6.
