Centralia’s Cora King is our first Trinity Black Missouri Farm Bureau Softball Player of the Week this season.
At the William Chrisman Tournament in Independence, King went 3-for-3 with a solo home run and two doubles against Class 5 Liberty. She also hit a walk-off grand slam to defeat Belton, the Class 4 state runner-up from last year.
The Lady Panthers went 3-2 on the weekend. That included a slim 1-0 defeat to Oak Grove in a rematch of last year’s Class 3 state championship game.
