A complete game shutout by Camryn Gray helped lead the Harrisburg Lady Bulldogs to a 7-0 win over the Fayette Lady Falcons in a Class 2 District 8 semifinal Thursday.
Harrisburg’s first two batters reached on an error to start the bottom of the third. Kate Cook drove in the game’s first run on a groundout. Beth Creamer had a good follow-up.
Isabelle DeMuth hit a sac fly in the fourth, Creamer added an RBI double in the fifth while Aidyn Burt and Jillian Stidham each drove in runs in the sixth.
Gray allowed just three hits, didn’t walk anyone and struck out 11 to be named Freeman Financial and Insurance Outstanding Player of the Game.
The Lady Bulldogs will play top seed Carrollton Monday. We will have the broadcast. Carrollton won a back-and-forth semifinal with Lexington 14-10.
