Jaiden Galbreath ran for 200 yards on over 30 carries to power North Callaway to a 20-8 win over South Callaway, North’s first Callaway Cup victory since 2021. Galbreath’s big night started just over a minute into the game.
Wyatt Haden had a 16-yard touchdown run in the second quarter to give the Thunderbirds a 12-0 advantage at half. South Callaway quarterback Graden Pontius provided a spark 48 seconds into the second half.
Pontius finished with an unofficial 166 rushing yards. Both defenses made big stands throughout the second half before Galbreath again came through.
North Callaway’s defense sealed the deal.
