Mikaela Rojas

In the world of Agricultural education and leadership, few roles are as influential as that of a State FFA Officer. These young leaders dedicate a year of their lives to serving fellow FFA members, advocating for the future of agriculture and inspiring the next generation.

From her first steps in FFA to the challenges and triumphs during her year of service, Mikaela Rojas rises to the top to leave a legacy of leadership. She currently attends college in Moberly, Missouri and is pursuing a degree in Agriculture Communications and Marketing. Mikaela has three supervised agricultural experience projects that have pushed her to learn new things about different aspects of agriculture. The first is a Beef Entrepreneurship project where she raises, maintains and commercially markets a small herd of registered Red Angus cattle to local consumers. She also has a Specialty Crop supervised agricultural experience where she purchases and plants chrysanthemums, as well as network with small businesses to sell them. Lastly but certainly not least is her Placement SAE, where Mikaela works at a greenhouse that serves individuals with developmental disabilities. There, she helps by sharing information on caring for plants, interacting with customers, and other daily living skills. Mikaela has had her heart set on serving as a Missouri FFA State Officer since her freshman year because of the transformative impact that this organization has had on her life. During her year of service, she stood as an example to members of just how much of a change FFA can have in their lives if they are open to it.
