Macon went 3-8 last year under Coach Van Vanatta, but he says those struggles have helped his team mature.
Vanatta says he thinks the growth should keep the Tigers from digging themselves into big holes early.
He says Talen Holman, who started at quarterback for part of last season, continues to improve.
Vanatta says Holman has also grown. He was listed atc5’10” and 165 pounds last year, and is now about 6’1″ and 195 pounds. The Tigers open at Kirksville August 29th. Hear from Coach Vanatta and all of our football coaches on the NEMO Pressbox Preseason Football Show Tuesday, August 26th, at 6 pm.
