Brad Boyer with the call on nemopressbox.com. The Tigerettes went into the top of the 7th leading 9-4, but committed three errors to go with a walk and three Mexico hits. It was a 4-4 game in the bottom of the 4th inning when Reece Barnett gave Macon the lead for good:
Barnett went 2-3 and reached base four times. She was named our Freeman Financial and Insurance Player of the Game. Payton Weimer battled through the 7th throwing a total of 137 pitches to finish the complete game. She also walked four times. The 6-through-9 batters in the Macon lineup produced eight hits. The Tigerettes win their first district title since 2017 and improve to 22-13. They will play at Lutheran St. Charles/Veritas in a Class 3 quarterfinal game on Saturday. We plan to have the broadcast on nemopressbox.com.
