On Tuesday night, Moberly led Kirksville most of the game before falling apart late in a loss. The Spartans led Southern Boone the entire game until the final two minutes of this game. Brayden Beckman hit back-to-back triples to give the Eagles their only lead at 61-59. This time, Mason Bivins and the Spartans punched back….

A following possession miss meant the Eagles had to foul three times to get Moberly to the free throw line. With nine seconds left, Bivens canned a pair of free throws for the final margin. He finished with 17 points and was our Freeman Financial and Insurance Player of the Game. Cameron Doubrava had 16, Kish Jacobs added 14 and Collin Knox chipped in 10. The Spartans improve to 10-9. Southern Boone was led by Jace Wren with 21. The Eagles drop to 7-7.

The Moberly girls broke an early fourth quarter tie with six straight points and held on for the win. Leading by three, Kirsten DeFreitas made it a two-possesion game late….
