The format of the Missouri State Wrestling Championships will change starting in 2027. The Missouri State High School Activities Association Board of Directors last week approved having the girls championship a week before the boys. The girls will compete at the Hearnes Center the third Thursday through Saturday in February, and the boys will be at Mizzou Arena the following Thursday through Saturday. The board also approved a special ballot to respond to Senate Bill 63. Member schools will have the opportunity to vote in August on amending MSHSAA by-laws to follow a pending state law allowing homeschool kids to participate on public school teams. The board approved an amendment have rain-delayed baseball and softball postseason games to be played out to a full seven innings.
