Emelia Flores drove in all three runs and Clara Uhlmeyer struck out 10 in a complete game to help the North Shelby Lady Raiders to a 3-2 conference win over Westran Monday.
Flores’ first RBI led off the second.
In the bottom of the fourth, Charley Starr and Kate Hollman led off with singles. After they advanced to second and third, Uhlmeyer retired the next two batters before Lanie Kertz came through.
After Westran starter Norah Harvey sat down the first two in the top of the fifth, Isabell Jones was hit by a pitch and Alexis Browning walked. That set up Flores to again give North Shelby the lead.
Flores was the Freeman Financial and Insurance Outstanding Player of the Game. Harper Copenhaver had three hits out of the leadoff spot. Aubri Luckett had two hits.
For Westran, Hadley Harvey had three hits and Kyleigh Carroll had two.
Both teams are right back at it Tuesday with North Shelby playing another big conference game against Paris and Westran traveling to Canton.
