The North Shelby Raiders scored early and often in a 97-0 win over Schuyler County Friday.
Scoring began after Schuyler fumbled a punt return, which set up Gannon Bowen to run in a seven-yard touchdown. Bowen added a 24-yard rushing score just over two minutes later. He then found the endzone on defense.
Bowen’s next three touchdowns were through the air.
His six total touchdowns (three passing, two rushing, one defensive) earned him Freeman Financial and Insurance Outstanding Player of the Game.
Colton Gander had three receptions for 66 yards and two touchdowns. Griffen Gaines had six carries for 63 yards and three scores.
The Raiders had a special teams score to start the second half.
Hyatt Copenahaver had two interceptions, including a 30-yard pick six.
It’s the fourth shutout of the season for North Shelby, which moves to 6-0. Schuyler County falls to 2-4.
