Servais Big Night Leads Pewaukee Past Moberly

Jackson Servais scored three touchdowns and anchored the Pewaukee defense in leading the Pirates, from Wisconsin, to a 36-18 win over Moberly, in a game played at Cornell College, in Mount Vernon, Iowa, on Friday night. The Pirates chewed up most of the first quarter overcoming four penalties and grinding out a 13-play drive capped by a 9-yard pass to Servais, who uncle, Scott, was the one-time manager of the Seattle Mariners. He added a 23-yard TD run in the second quarter and a one-yard plunge in the third to push Pewaukee to a 22-0 advantage. The Pirates improve to 1-1.

Moberly touchdowns in the second half came on a Ka’Von Tiger one-yard run, Jackson Engel 14-yard run and a Carter Grant one-yard run.

While Servais was the overall Freeman Financial and Insurance Player of the Game, for Moberly, Engel led the Spartans in rushing with 71 yards, on eight carries, and complete 11 passes for 139 yards.

The Spartans come back home to host Osage next Friday night. Here is the postgame interview with Cody McDowell.
