South Shelby’s Hannah Gaines and Westran’s Cruze Haynes are the Trinity Black Missouri Farm Bureau Basketball Players of the Week.
Gaines set a single-game school record with nine threes in a win over Father Tolton, which led the Ladybirds to also break the single-game record as a team with 16. Over three games on the week, she averaged 22.7 points, 5.3 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals per game. Gaines hit 19 total threes at a 45 percent shooting clip.
Haynes averaged 23 points and eight rebounds in two games. He guided the Hornets to a win in their conference opener with 26 points against North Shelby.
